The first time I walked into a classroom at the Alliance Française, I was terrified.
Would I fail to recall any of the French I learned years ago in college? Make an embarrassing faux pas? Forget to roll my rrrr’s? What if I couldn’t understand the teacher? (Sound familiar?)
Turns out I had nothing to fear. At the Alliance, I found a warm, welcoming community of people like me who love all things French. I forged special friendships with fellow students, members, teachers, and staff.
Et oui, along the way, I polished my French, discovered the culture and traditions of the francophone world, and ate my share of crêpes.
For me, our unique community – our “alliance” – is what makes the Alliance Française so special.
If you feel the same way, please join me in supporting the Alliance on the Big Day of Giving. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on donations in addition to registration fees to fund our educational and cultural programs.
Giving is très facile. Donate anytime from now until midnight on Thursday, May 2 on our Big Day of Giving page. You can also give with a check or credit card in person at the Alliance Française or by calling our office at (916) 453-1723.
Donations start at $15 – gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated. The Alliance Française is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
Merci infiniment to all of you for being part of our Alliance community. À bientôt!
Bien à vous,
Alliance Française de Sacramento
