Discussion series based on the opening scenes of several contemporary French films and novels. Looking only at a snippet of each work, students will learn to describe their observations, express their reactions and hypothesize how the story will unfold.

Join us for an opportunity to improve your French and discover some recent French films and novels.
Discussion will be based on in-class reading and viewing of short clips accompanied by transcribed dialogues, so no advance preparation is required to participate. All materials, along with discussion questions, will be posted in advance on a Google classroom course page for those who wish to familiarize themselves ahead of time.

For foodies, cinephiles and all those interested in some casual conversation in French.
